  Best Buttermilk pancakes in town!  
  Good service, best prices  around.
  You know you have found a winner if there is always a wait!  I usually order pancakes to go on weekends ...and any breakfast item we have had has been very good!

  Disappointed with our breakfast here as well. Is there anyplace decent to get breakfast in Exeter?!?
  
  We read their reviews and decided to give them a chance despite their appearance. The place looks like a shack only with indoor plumbing and electric. The parking lot is very choppy and no designated spots so park wherever. The entrance door is very low and you might need to duck. Inside was nothing special, outdated dinnette feel but they also sold lottery tickets....strange. One unique feature was the operational toy train suspended from the ceiling decorated for the holidays.
  
  The menu was limited. Prices were high for what this place was but figured the food must be exceptional. Service was unattentive. She took our order and dropped off our food. Never came back to check on us or offer coffee refills. Had to flag her down for jelly and than was only given one small cube container for four pieces of toast! Overall the place was cramped and run down. An attached shed like structure was the kichen/ back area and the lack of maintence was visible. It looked more like someone's homemade workshop than a commercial dining establishment.
  
  Food was disappointing. Toast and hash browns were overcooked. Breakfast sandwhich was served on cheap bread and was dry. I had to ask for mayo just to make it tolerable. My food was served on a no frills cheap paper plate. And to think we paid $16 for a meal we could have gotten at a concession stand for a fraction of the price. Shame on you!

  Gave this place a try despite its run down appearance. Have been told this place was a good place to eat. This was the worse breakfast I have ever had. The coffee was horrible, I couldn't even drink it and I'm not picky. The hash browns were cool and hard. The pancake was sour tasting, I couldn't finish that either. My husband however did enjoy his omelet. My scrambled eggs were also fine. Also, the bathroom is located outside!!! The decor and messy appearance are a turn off. Won't ever be going back!

  We've been going to Speedies since we moved here 9 years ago, and my husband since he was a child. All other pancakes are judged against Speedies and we've never found anything that comes close to beating them! LA French toast is another favorite. Great made to order eggs too, with all the classic sides. Griddled sticky buns or muffins are amazing as well. This is the only breakfast place we go to in Berks!

  If you're into a lottery ticket hang out, this is the place for you. The hair in our food was a  special touch. Won't be speeding back to Speedies.
